What Messages We Send

When you opt in, you may receive text messages from Fixar Inc. for the following purposes:

  • Appointment confirmations
  • Appointment reminders
  • Technician on-the-way / ETA notifications
  • Service updates and scheduling changes
  • Estimate and invoice notifications
  • Replies to your text inquiries

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your service activity. Typically, you will receive 1–5 messages per service appointment.

Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. Fixar Inc. does not charge for text messages, but your carrier may.

How You Opt In (Consent)

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Fixar Inc. through any of the following methods:

1. Website Consent Checkbox

On our Book Online and Contact pages, an SMS consent checkbox is displayed alongside the service request form. The checkbox is unchecked by default. Checking the box is not required to submit the form — customers can request service without opting in to SMS. The checkbox reads:

“By checking this box, I agree to receive SMS/text messages from Fixar Inc. at (929) 565-6630 regarding my service request, appointment reminders, and updates. Message frequency varies (typically 1–5 per appointment). Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.”

2. Inbound Text Message

Customers can text JOIN to (929) 565-6630 to opt in. They receive an automatic reply: “Fixar Inc: You are now opted in for service updates. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

When you initiate contact by sending any text message to our SMS number, you are also consenting to receive reply messages. Our first reply includes opt-out instructions.

3. Verbal Consent During Booking

When you call our business line (929) 351-5179 or request service in person, our staff reads the following disclosure before scheduling:

“We will send you text message confirmations and reminders about your appointment from (929) 565-6630. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Is that okay?”

Service is not conditional on SMS consent. Customers who decline still receive service; communication continues via phone call only. Verbal consent is recorded in our CRM system.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from (929) 565-6630. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and will not receive further SMS communications from us.

We do not sell, share, or use phone numbers or SMS/text messaging data collected for SMS purposes with third parties or affiliates for marketing. SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties except as necessary to deliver the messaging service.

Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers (including but not limited to T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent Is Not Required for Purchase

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from Fixar Inc. You may decline SMS and still receive full HVAC service.
